Hidden Cities has emerged from another busy month, into a season filled with sunshine, happiness and hayfever (well, we are in Bloomsbury with some of London's largest plane trees!)Planning for the Bloomsbury Festival has brought the team into contact with yet more wonderful people in the area, including spending a sunny afternoon with Edward Allington from The Slade, meandering through Bloomsbury's lovely parks dreaming up outdoor art installation projects. Roma has been busy pulling together other major programming elements, from film and opera projects to secret music performances and underground performance art. The full programme will be announced at the end of July but if you are linked with the area and would like to take part, please get in touch with Roma before the end of June: roma@hidden-cities.com
Elsewhere, Mobius have been working hard developing the Bloomsbury Festival logo which will be launched along with the website towards the end of June - we can't wait to share it with you!
This month's Cultural Bloomsbury Breakfast was hosted by the School of Advanced Study with the breakfast being followed by a tour around the very striking, Senate House. This building is open to the public and is well worth a visit.
The team has also been escaping the London heat with several trips down to Margate to continue with the development of the non-conference. This really is a fantastic town for discovering weird and wonderful hidden gems - take a trip down there and check out the Harbour Arm Cafe for a delicious brunch, a meander around the old town via Scotts antique emporium (totally gobsmacking!) cupcakes in the afternoon at the Margate Cupcake Cafe, finishing with the Lighthouse Bar for cocktails at sunset.

Out of hours, the team has been enjoying soaking up a number of local cultural activities, including attending the launch of fantastic local artist, Geoffrey Harrison's, new exhibition at the Art Worker's Guild, heading to UCL's ever popular Bright Club (this month's theme was 'food') at the Wilmington Arms, and visiting Maddy's parents juice business, the BloomBerry Juice Company at the Little Venice Waterways Festival.
