December 2009

December is a funny month. It's the month when everyone is slightly distracted by the beautiful snow, twinkling christmas lights and steaming mulled wine... For Hidden Cities, it marked the end of another really wonderful year full of new projects, new partnerships and of course, new friends and colleagues.

Just before Christmas, we were delighted to appoint Chimane Christian as the company's new Projects Assistant, thanks to Camden Council's Future Jobs Fund scheme. Chimane will be joining us in January and will be assisting with a whole host of projects as the company leaps into the new decade.

We also held our first Hidden Cities Charitable Trust, Trustees meeting. Despite initially getting locked out of the building and having to huddle together like penguins (brilliant 'ice'-breaker!) it was great to get everyone into a room and begin discussions about how the charity will operate.

The Seasider project has been building momentum and lots of support - in January, we will be holding a conference to bring together representatives from all over the UK to discuss the project and how to take it forward. Watch this space!

Hidden Cities have had a really challenging, but fantastic 2009 and would like to wish everyone we have worked with a very Happy Christmas and wonderful New Year!
