The final few ends of Hatton Garden Festival have now been happily tied up but far from quiet, this month the team have enjoyed producing a Graduate Company Professional Development Workshop for the Centre for Excellence in Training for Theatre. The workshop provided recent theatre graduates with access to learning about the 'nuts and bolts' and business skills to sustain a professional theatre company. We're very grateful to Create KX and the Business & IP Centre at the British Library for providing the space for this event - lovely people! We were incredibly excited to have secured a top panel of industry professionals to attend the event, Nick Sweeting (Improbable), Dan Pursey (Mobius Industries), Shonagh Manson (The Jerwood Charitable Foundation) and Ed Collier (Fuel). The panel offered mentoring and advice to the lucky graduate companies who attended.
Feedback from the attendees was brilliant - this was a pilot event for the ever-innovative CETT, and it is hoped that it will be repeated in the next academic year, so watch this space.
