Philosophy

At Hidden Cities we believe that the way people engage with each other in public environments is key to their feeling of wellbeing and belonging.

Our skills lie in developing the public's perspective of an area, through ongoing events or one off creative projects which are drawn from its innate character.

We work with the history of an area, as well as its current character, occupants, and visitors, to devise projects which involve individuals and organisations with particular locales, build creative networks, and enhance the emotional experience of a place and individuals' desire to interact with, and return to it.

"Can we put it on record - and you may quote us as much as you like - you made this year's Festival a model of what a community festival can and should be. It was urbane and local, sophisticated and easygoing. You did a fabulous job"- Friends of St. George's Gardens

"In conceiving and producing The Bloomsbury Festival, Hidden Cities succeeded in developing strong, positive, ongoing relationships with a wide variety of individuals and organisations, integrating a commercial development into a sensitive cultural and residential environment, and widening the appeal of the scheme" - Janet Dandy, Centre Manager, The Brunswick
